Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist is one of the most visible ministries in the parish. These commissioned parishioners assist the priest in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. Training and Commissioning are required.  

As of Summer 2022, the Precious Blood is now available to the Congregation during several Mass, so the need for Extraordinary Ministers has increased.

Eucharistic Ministers are also asked to bring Holy Communion to people within the parish community who are sick and/or homebound.

The experience in bringing the Body of Christ to others, who cannot attend mass due to illness or other limitations, is truly a gift from God.

Here at Our Lady of Angels parish we have Eucharistic adoration Monday through Saturday.  You can come and spend time with Jesus adoring Him, thanking Him, and just talking with Him face-to-face.

A Lector's responsibilities at weekday and Sunday Masses include proclaiming the readings from Scripture to the congregation, reading the Responsorial Psalm in absence of a choir or cantor, and announcing the intentions for the General Intercessions and the announcements when an acolyte or deacon is not present.

At Our Lady of Angels we have many oppornities to join one of our choirs. We have choirs in English and Spanish, and for adults or for children. If you are interested in finding out more about this beautiful ministry contact the office.

The primary role of the altar server is to assist the priest in the celebration of the liturgy during Mass. This is done through specific actions and by setting an example to the congregation by active participation in the liturgy.

Those who have received their First Holy Communion, including older youth in high school or college, are eligible to begin training as altar servers.

Altar linen ministers wash and iron the linens used at the altar. This vital behind-the-scenes ministry allows a person to connect with the Church in a unique way all within the privacy of his or her own home. Anyone willing to respectfully handle the linens that have touched the precious Body and Blood of Christ may join this ministry.

Sacristans are a vital part of our liturgical activities. These parishioners assist the priests by setting up the vessels and books used at Mass. They also verify that altar servers, lectors, and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are available to serve.

The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal Catholic men’s organization that is still true to its founding principles of charity, unity and fraternity.

The Knights meet on the third Thursday of each month at 7PM in the Parish Hall.

The CDA motto is “Unity and Charity.” With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our guide we seek to emulate her in our lives. The CDA is a group of Catholic women who support our priest and our parish. They meet September through June on the second Thursday of the month at 6PM in the Parish Hall.
